Ain't gonna paint
My daughter and I have fallen in love with the mischevious, paint obsessed boy in "I ain't gonna paint no more". This picture book by Karen Beaumont with wild and fabulous illustrations by David Catrow is destined to be a classic.
The book opens with a small boy being caught by his mom having painted all over her living room. He is told by his mom that "Ya ain't gonna paint no more!". However he sees where she hides the paints and just can't resist.
The book follows a wonderful rhyming scheme that predicts the next body part that he will paint. It caught my daughter's attention so much that we read it 4 times the day we brought it home from the library
